We are committed to protecting everyone's rights and will promptly address any unlawful content shared through our service.
Updated October 14th 2025
MoreTransfer respects the rights of individuals, creators, and organizations, and expects users to do the same.
If we become aware, either through internal review or a report from a third party, that unlawful or policy-violating content is being distributed through our Service, we will follow the procedures described in this Takedown Policy ("NTD Policy").
By using MoreTransfer, you agree that we may handle reports of unlawful or infringing material in accordance with this policy.
Code of Conduct and Principles
MoreTransfer adheres to the general principles of transparency, proportionality, and due process set out in global intermediary frameworks such as:
- the EU Digital Services Act (DSA),
- the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and
- similar "notice and takedown" regimes worldwide.
We commit to:
- act promptly when notified of clearly unlawful content,
- act proportionately, ensuring only necessary material is removed,
- inform affected users where legally permissible, and
- cooperate with competent authorities as required by law.
How to Submit a Report (Notifier Requirements)
Any person or organization ("Notifier") may report unlawful or infringing content by submitting a detailed notice to:
The notice must include, to the extent possible:
- Notifier information: full name, organization (if applicable), role, and contact email;
- Link or identifier of the disputed file, page, or transfer (e.g., direct download URL or transfer ID);
- Description of the issue, including why the content is unlawful, infringing, or violates these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy;
- Legal or factual justification (e.g., copyright ownership, privacy violation, defamation, etc.);
- Statement of good faith that the information provided is accurate; and
- (Optional) Request for urgency, with a brief explanation if immediate harm is alleged.
Incomplete reports may be returned for clarification.
Evaluation Process
Upon receiving a valid notice, MoreTransfer will review and categorize it into one of the following types:
- Law-Enforcement or Court Orders – Reports or removal requests from police, regulatory bodies, or judicial authorities.
- Clearly Unlawful or Infringing Content – Content that is plainly illegal (e.g., CSAM, copyright infringement, fraud, hate speech).
- Disputed or Ambiguous Content – Content that may be objectionable but is not clearly unlawful.
We aim to review and take appropriate action within 10 business days, and sooner in urgent or high-risk cases.
Actions and Measures
Depending on classification and the evidence provided, MoreTransfer may:
- Immediately remove or disable access to content that is unequivocally unlawful or poses serious risk.
- Notify the uploader (Sender) and give them an opportunity to respond or appeal, unless prohibited by law;
- Preserve evidence (e.g., file metadata or logs) for legitimate legal or security purposes;
- Disclose limited user data to authorities or rights holders where required by law or court order; or
- Decline removal if the content is not clearly unlawful and appears to be a legitimate use.
If MoreTransfer cannot determine the legality of the content, both parties (Notifier and Content Provider) may be encouraged to seek resolution through competent authorities or the courts.
Urgent or Critical Cases
If a Notifier believes the matter is urgent (e.g., imminent harm, ongoing exploitation, or sensitive data exposure), they must explain the reason for urgency in the report.
MoreTransfer will assess urgency at its sole discretion and may take immediate interim action, including temporary suspension or removal, while reviewing the claim.
Indemnity and Good Faith
By submitting a notice, the Notifier:
- warrants that the information provided is accurate and complete;
- agrees to indemnify MoreTransfer for any losses, damages, or claims resulting from false or bad-faith reports; and
- acknowledges that removal actions are taken in good faith to comply with applicable laws and platform obligations.
Due Caution and Minimal Removal
When removing content, MoreTransfer will act with due care and proportionality, removing only the material necessary to address the issue.
We avoid overblocking and strive to preserve lawful content whenever possible.
Appeals and Restoration
If your content was removed or your account was restricted under this policy, you may appeal by contacting support@moretransfer.com within 14 days of notice.
We will review the appeal and may restore content if we determine the original removal was in error or the dispute has been resolved.
